Draw two small circles within the oval for the eyes. Draw another circle within the two small circles and shade the inner one black.

Step 3
Draw two ears on the top part of the oval.

Step 4
Add some detailing for the ears and draw a small smooth triangle below the eyes to indicate the nose.

Step 5
Draw two curved lines below the nose for the mouth. Add three more curved lines on either side to indicate the cute whiskers.

Step 6
Draw a curved line below the face

Step 7
Draw another curved line on the opposite side and add detailing near the neck.

Step 8
Draw more curved lines to indicate the feet of the cat.

Step 9
Final step! Add details to the feet to indicate the paws. Draw a cool tail for the cat.

And now you know how to draw a cat – don’t forget to give it some colour! You can even draw a cluster of cats.
Why should you make drawing a habit?
Drawing can be a great way of keeping your children occupied and letting them use their imagination and thinking. As they colour their drawings, children can improve their hand to eye coordination, be creative and even spend their time doing something useful. Since it can help in relieving stress, drawing is highly recommended for adults too!
