We all want our children to be able to recognise the birds in our world. It is the foundation to let children verbally describe the birds we see and also recognise the birds with ease.
To help children in learning about their birds, today we are providing two worksheets – The Common Birds Worksheet and The Advanced Birds Worksheet, in 8 different languages – English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada.
The Common Birds Worksheet
As the name suggests, this worksheet includes the most basic and common birds like crow, owl, peacock, pigeon, duck, and chicken. This will help children in identifying these birds and they can start using them too. Download the sheet in 8 languages with the links given below.

The Advanced Birds Worksheet
This worksheet includes birds that are slightly more advanced but still can be grasped by the quick learner that your child is. In addition to the 6 birds in the Common Birds Worksheet, it includes 10 more birds.

Some activities that can help your child in learning birds
- Recite the names of the birds to your child. Then ask the child to point to a bird and say its name out loud.
- Use the birds as references to show them the birds in the actual sense.
- Ask your child to draw the birds using different colours and recite their names.
- Have your child mould the birds in clay.
